A Very Brief History of the Homeworld Universe

Due to the good news about this game, I decided to repost my slightly revised material here. I hope that it will be useful for the local inhabitants and maybe one of the fans will fill in the gaps in this story. I really hope so.

Original Time

A long time ago, in one large multi-colored galaxy, maybe even in ours, on one of the planets near its center – Hiigara, there lived a very advanced humanoid race.
When she managed to go into space, she met there many intelligent races that had mastered the galaxy long before her. Probably still humanoid too. One of them, the Bentusi race of space traders, sold hyperjump drive technology to these people.

A couple of centuries after the Hiiagarans entered space, a Global War occurs in the galaxy, during which this race creates its own Hiiagaran empire from 40 worlds adjacent to another powerful empire – Taidan.

After the end of the war, the alliance of sixteen galactic races creates the Galactic Council.
One of the first decisions of this Council, with the help of Taidan intrigues, several disputed worlds on the border of Hiigaran and Taidan were transferred to the second.
Therefore, the Hiigarans harbored hatred for their neighbors. And soon they had the opportunity to take revenge, when in one little-explored sector of space the Hiigarans found a second hyperspace Core (the first such Core was owned by the Bentusi).

Having learned to control it, with its help the Hiigarans dealt a powerful and deep blow to the Taidan Empire. Having reached its capital world, they destroy the imperial palace and many Taidan military bases on it. Many Taidan rulers, including the emperor, die.

ExileReturning to Hiigara, the attackers began to await the decision of the Galactic Council. And he quickly made his decision – the Hiigarans must give the found Core and most of their fleet to the Galactic Council.
Diamid – the ruling body of Hiigara decided to fulfill the Council’s ultimatum, but not completely.

When the Bentusi arrived at the supposed site of the Core transfer, the Hiigarans attacked their flagship, the Harbor, and almost destroyed its compartment with the First Core. But the Bentusi, managing to quickly react to this attack, destroyed almost the entire Hiigaran fleet. The Hiigaran flagship, which carried the Second Core, received heavy damage, but the Hiigaran admiral managed to smash it on the surface of the Hiigara moon, thus hiding the Second Core. He was considered lost.

When the Taidans recovered from the attack of the Hiiagarans, they led the rest of their border fleet to the defenseless Hiiagara, destroying worlds that did not obey them along the way.
And now, the Hiigarans were on the verge of complete destruction, but the Bentusi stood up for them, dissatisfied with their role in this genocide.
The Galactic Council decided to give the Hiigarans a choice – to be destroyed or to promise not to use hyperjump technology anymore and go into exile on the outskirts of the Galaxy.

The Hiigarans chose the second option, and their huge sub-light ark ships wandered away from the Homeworld. In the hold of one of the exile ships there was a “Second Hypercore”, secretly transported to it.
On the way to exile, one of these ships was lost in the nebula and gave rise to one of the new space races – the Kadeshi.

In the end, one of the arks flew to an arid planet on the edge of the galaxy – Kharak – and crashed in its equatorial desert, unable to land in a more temperate zone.
The unwitting settlers, now called the Kushans, built their underground city around the ship’s wreck, using materials from the hull of their ark to construct the settlement’s buildings.

Over time, all the technologies taken https://lowdeposit-casinos.co.uk/review/spinscastle/ from their home world were lost, although the exiles managed to build a space observatory near the destroyed ship and preserve the remains of high technologies in it, but they left the hypercore itself on the ship.
The survivors of the crash and their descendants gradually moved to the poles, and soon forgot the technology of their ancestors. Their community was divided into clans, which had to begin to develop the planet using Iron Age methods and begin a new ascent to the heights of technology.
The descendants of the exiles forgot about their origins and, as time passed, they wondered why the surrounding life, in its genetic structure, was so different from them and several species of animals living next to them.

Return to space and homelandAfter 3,000 years of exiles ascending to the heights of civilization, the inhabitants of the planet began space flights again. And during the first flights into space, fragments of destroyed spaceships were discovered in orbit around the planet, which served as the source of some inventions.

A powerful radar satellite was soon launched into orbit in hopes of detecting larger belts of such debris in the Kharaka system. But the satellite, by mistake, turned to the planet, scanned the surface of Kharak and discovered in the sands of the equatorial desert at a depth of 75 meters the ancient city of Khar-Tob, located around a certain metal structure of considerable size.
An archaeological expedition was sent to her. Its members discovered artifacts among the remains of the city and the ship: the “Guidestone” and the hidden hyperspace Core.

The Guidestone contained a map of the galaxy and a simple single-digit vector pointing to a specific system near the center of the galaxy. The inscription near this system read – Hiigara, which in all dialects of Kharaka meant “house”.

After a couple of decades of research into what was found in the sands, a plan to build a huge spacecraft was approved. All the clans of the planet united to build it. In addition, a campaign was undertaken to recruit volunteer colonists. After being frozen, they were placed in six orbital ships – cryotanks.
It took at least 20 years to build the planetary infrastructures necessary for this project. Over the next ten years, slipways were built in orbit. In this structure, over the next 25 years, the "Mothership" was built, called the "Pride of Hiigara".

A young woman, Karan S’zhet, volunteers to take control of this large ship as the central control hub, and soon after construction, her mind is connected to the ship’s electronic control system.

After completing the assembly work, the mother ship makes a test jump to the outskirts of the system, where it finds out that the support ship Khar-Selim, previously sent there specifically to support the tests, was attacked and destroyed. Soon the Pride of Hiiagara itself was attacked by an unknown fleet.

After repelling this attack, the mother ship returns to Kharak’s orbit, where it is discovered that the entire surface of the planet is burned, and its population is mercilessly destroyed, and the cryotanks remaining in orbit with volunteers are destroyed by attacking ships with unfamiliar symbols.
Having repulsed the attack on them, the Pride of Hiigara takes on board the remaining orbital complexes.

During the interrogation of one of the prisoners, the Kushans (or Kharaks) learn that the warships of the Taidan Empire were following a millennia-old ban on the use of hypertechnology by exiles, and therefore, after they entered space and activated the jump drive, they attacked Kharak.
The exiles’ second homeland is destroyed, their mothership and the remaining small fleet are sent to the center of the galaxy, to Hiigara.

The Bentusi did not like the destruction of Kharak, and they ended relations with the Taidans and decided to help the exiles.

Having passed through the barriers of the opposing Taidan Empire, through nebulae, meeting Kadeshi cultists and Bentusi traders, and even surviving an attack by a giant asteroid and attacks by Turanian raiders, the Kushans reached their home world.

After the final space battle, in which the remnants of the Taidan Empire were destroyed, the exiles return to their “Homeland” – Hiiagara.

Emperor Taidan is dead, their empire has fallen, and from its remains the Taidan Republic is born, which has concluded a peace treaty with the exiles who returned to Hiigara. The exiles began to reclaim their world, and its restoration.

CataclysmSeveral decades after the Kushans returned to Hiigara, the Kuun-Lan, one of the command ships of the ore-mining clan, the Kiita Somtau, working in deep space, encounters an unusual organism of extragalactic origin.

About a million years ago, an experimental ship of one of the races, the Naggarok, “picked up” a certain “Beast” in a hyperjump in intergalactic space. This organism of extragalactic origin was able to quickly take over the ship, but the ship’s crew managed to damage its engines in time. And for a long time he drifted in the darkness between star systems.

Now “Kuun-Lan” has to fight with the “Beast”, capable of capturing oncoming ships and telepathically controlling them. If she cannot directly control, then she seduces her temporary allies with power over the Galaxy.
After a long struggle between Kuun-Lan and the Beast, its influence in the galaxy was completely destroyed.

After this incident, the Bentusi begin to reveal their secrets; it turns out that they received hyperjump technology and their hypercore from an ancient race – the Forerunners.

War with the Vaygr

After a hundred years since the destruction of the "Beast", the Hiigarans have a new enemy. These are warlike space nomads – the Vaygras, who united with the remnants of the Taidan Empire. They are led by Makaan, who found the third hyperspace Core. This assembled fleet is on a crusade against Hiigara.

The fight against it is led by a new huge, improved carrier ship with the old name “Pride of Hiigara”. The role of the ship’s main control center is again taken over by Karan S’jet.

As a result of a fierce war, the Taidan Vaygras, led by Makaan, were nevertheless defeated, and the third hypercore was taken away from them.
In this war, called the Nuclear War, the ancient race of the Forerunners manifests itself, and the Galactic Council disintegrates.

End of Time (or Light)

The reunification of the three hypernuclei opened up a network of hyperspace routes left over from the ancient race.
This is where the known history of this universe ends.

And now the beautiful spots of space will never again be disturbed by the reverse traces of the exhausts of any enemy ships.
